FMF 4.1 RCT Exhaust Installation, Weight Test, and Sound Test on 2017 KTM 500 EXC-f
FMF 4.1 RCT Slip-On Install
Cost: ~$400
Difficulty: 1/5
Tools Needed:
- 8MM Socket with extension
- Spring puller
- Flathead screwdriver
- Extendable magnet
- Hi-temp RTV silicone
In this video we show you how easy it is to install the FMF 4.1 RCT slip-on silencer on a 2017 KTM 500EXC-F. We also show you how much weight is saved with this titanium silencer over the stock exhaust.
The installation of the FMF 4.1 RCT on the KTM 500EXC is very easy, takes less than 15 minutes.
The second half of the video does a sound test comparison between the stock exhaust, an open header (which we do not recommend — just for fun), the 4.1 RCT without the quiet insert/spark arrestor, and with the quiet insert installed.
